Am I the only defence worker who detests the wars?

I refuse to wear the "help the heroes" armbands. I especially refuse to wear the "Afghanistan" armbands.

I'm all for our forces and their commitment to defend our country. But when have we needed defending in the last 60 years?

The guys in Iraq and Afghanistan aren't heroes. They're slaves to a political whim.

Everyday fire-fighters and police are the REAL unsung heroes.
